After all the rumors and drama that crossed the internet lately, it seems like Konami will finally confirm details about a project they’ve quietly been busy with after Silent Hill: Downpour and the P.T. demo. It looks certain that we’re about to get some news about new games and the new movie by Christophe Gans, which we’ll see on the live show.
Konami made a special site and page called Silent Hill Portal this past week. Just under the heading, you’ll see the following words: “October 19th, 2022 11:00 PM (CEST)”. It’s indicative of news coming for the series, which can either be about the games or the movies. I have a feeling it will be about the games.
The reason I feel this way is due to the link lower down the page. You’ll see the words Silent Hill Series. If you click on it, it takes you to a few of the popular SH games. While it may not mention the movies, I already know that Christophe Gans recently said in an interview that he’s working on a new film based in the haunted town.
Gans also indicated that they spoke to the Konami team who indicated they are remaking Silent Hill 2 and producing other SH games. While it shocked many fans to hear this, many were waiting for official confirmation from Konami.
There will still be many haters who refuse to accept that Silent Hill is making a comeback. I’ve been working hard on my second Silent Hill novel, so this news is incredibly exciting for me. I’ll be watching that screen with intense concentration this Wednesday, waiting to share what Konami had to say here on Softonic as soon as I have it. This is going to be massive!
